Online Enquiry
We ask three questions: where is the smell strongest, how long has it been there, and have you seen flies. That tells us whether it is a roof cavity, a wall, or a subfloor before we arrive. You get a price range in our reply and a firm quote on site. Takes five minutes.
02
Locate the Carcass
On arrival we suit up in protective gloves and a respirator mask, then work the space with a flashlight and inspection camera. A dead possum in ceiling spaces is usually within two metres of the strongest smell. Locating takes 15 to 40 minutes depending on how tight the void is.
03
Extract and Bag
We use a grabber tool to pull the carcass into heavy-duty garbage bags, double-bag it in biohazard bags, and seal it in a container for transport. Nothing touches your carpet or flooring. The whole extraction step runs 20 to 45 minutes on a standard roof job.
04
Decontaminate the Area
We spray the cavity with disinfectant, apply absorbent powder to any fluid staining, and treat surrounding timber and insulation with deodoriser. Where the smell has moved into the room below, we run an ozone generator for a timed cycle. This is the step that decides whether the odour comes back.
05
Seal and Report
We seal the entry point with mesh and sealant, then walk you through what we found and what to watch for over the next 72 hours. You get photos of the cavity before and after. If a second carcass is likely, we tell you straight rather than leaving you guessing.
